Join us in our fight to curb infectious diseases at our ECDA-approved CPD course on “Infectious Diseases Management in the Early Childhood Environment’ (OTHIDME20E, 15 CPD hours). This is the first infectious disease course approved by Early Childhood Development Agency.
Preschool educators are at the forefront of facing infectious diseases and they play an important role in preventing the spread of diseases and in managing diseases outbreaks in their schools. Everyone has a role to play in building a safe school environment free from diseases. The course content was carefully curated after consultations with various agencies to understand the needs and threats of infectious disease in schools. COURSE OUTLINE
1. Identify common Infectious disease in Early Childhood
Gain insights on the latest infectious disease trends in young children. Learn best practices in morning check to prevent spread of diseases
2. Gain fundamental understanding in disease transmission
You will learn a key concept called chain of infection and learn how to break the chain to prevent infection in your environment.
3. Demonstrate Infectious waste cleanup
Learn step-by-step cleaning and disinfection of infectious waste, which has a serious consequence to the children if not taken care of properly.
4. Manage stakeholders for better disease management
Managing your stakeholders properly and effectively is essential to keep infection low in the environment.
